AM ISRAEL CHAI This is the Israeli Keffiyeh that was waiting for me when I got home from sftu. I’m not an expert on Jewish/Palestinian relations by any stretch of the imagination but when I see vapid hipsters sporting any style of keffiyeh I slip into superiority. I wonder if they have any idea what the connotations of their accessory might be. I bought this particular style because I believe that among all peoples there are more similarities than differences. I believe oppression is not the right of any creed or culture, religion or race. I don’t even know if I’ll wear it but I like having it.
